Every profile this generator puts together follows the Royal Mail reading order: the recipient first, then the house or building with its street, the post town in capitals, and the postcode right-aligned on the last line. That postcode is the load-bearing part of a UK address. Britain runs on more than 1.7 million of them, and each one pins down roughly fifteen delivery points. Each card pairs the address with a British name, a UK-format phone number and an email. Generate a set, filter by country, export what you need.
Three countries, one address system
The United Kingdom runs a single addressing standard across three countries, and our three filters match them exactly:
England
London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds street pools: Westminster, Camden, Shoreditch, the Northern Quarter, Jewellery Quarter. England carries the bulk of our samples.
Scotland
Edinburgh and Glasgow pools: Old Town, New Town, Leith, Merchant City, Finnieston. Postcodes here start with EH and G.
Wales
Cardiff and surrounding pools: Cathays, Pontcanna. CF postcodes, straight from the official district list.
Every generated card shows its city and postcode, so a Manchester address never gets mistaken for a London one.
How a UK address is laid out
UK addresses stack from specific to general, ending with the post town in capitals and the postcode. A complete address follows this order:
Three things trip people up. The post town line is written in capitals and often makes the county line unnecessary, so most UK addresses simply drop it. The postcode always sits on its own final line, fully uppercase. And UK addresses have no state or province field, which surprises American forms.

Postcodes, decoded
A UK postcode is not a zone code; it is an address in shorthand. Ordnance Survey documents break it into four layers: the outward code starts with one or two letters derived from a town or city (the area), followed by one or two characters for the district — FK1 for Falkirk, CF10 for Cardiff. The inward code opens with a space and a single digit for the sector, then two letters that finish the unit.
The scale is the striking part. Ordnance Survey's Code-Point dataset locates over 1.7 million postcode units across Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and a single unit typically covers about 15 addresses or properties. That is why UK checkouts ask for the postcode first: it narrows the address list to a single street segment before you type a house name. Some postcodes belong to nobody's street — large users, a single big business or a PO Box with heavy mail volumes, get their own dedicated code.
