6 DIGITS · NO LETTERS
Every profile this generator assembles reads the way India Post routes it: recipient first, then the house number and street, the locality, the city, the state — and a six-digit PIN on the final line that carries the whole sorting job. That PIN is the load-bearing part of an Indian address. Each card pairs it with an Indian name, a +91 mobile number and an email. Generate a set, filter by state, export what you need.
All 36 states and union territories, deep pools for the big ones
The filter covers all 36 states and union territories. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi and Tamil Nadu carry deep city pools for heavy testing; every other region holds its capital with a zone-correct postal code in the dropdown.
Maharashtra
Mumbai and Pune pools: Fort, Andheri West, Bandra East, Shivajinagar. PIN codes open with 4, the western zone.
Karnataka
Bengaluru and Mysuru: MG Road, Indiranagar, Koramangala. PIN codes start with 5, the southern zone.
Delhi
New Delhi: Connaught Place, Karol Bagh. PIN codes open with 1, the northern zone that also serves Haryana and Punjab.
Tamil Nadu
Chennai: T. Nagar, Anna Nagar. PIN codes start with 6, the deep-south zone shared with Kerala.
Every card shows its city and PIN, so a Bengaluru address never gets mistaken for a Mumbai one.
How an Indian address is laid out
Indian addresses run from specific to general and end with the PIN — the mirror of a Western address in one respect, and a cousin of the Japanese largest-first order in another:
Three things trip people up. The house number and street sit on one line joined by a comma — Indian convention, unlike the British no-comma rule. The state line is spelled out in full, never a two-letter code. And the PIN is pure digits: six of them, no letters anywhere, which makes it the easiest of the major formats to validate.
The PIN structure quoted here follows the documented structure of the Indian postal system, and our pools stick to the official zone map.
Need a whole list? Export it
One address at a time does not seed a test database. Save the profiles you like, then export the whole set as CSV or JSON in one click. Every field comes along — name, street, locality, city, state, PIN, phone and email — so nothing needs re-formatting downstream. No cap, no signup, no watermark.

PIN codes, decoded: six digits, four jobs
A PIN — Postal Index Number — is six digits doing four jobs. The first digit names one of nine postal zones: eight regional zones plus one functional zone reserved for the Indian Army. The second digit narrows to the sub-zone. The third digit, combined with the first two, identifies the sorting district within that zone. And the final three digits are assigned to individual post offices inside the sorting district — which is why two offices on the same street can carry different PINs.
Read 560038 that way and it stops being noise: 5 for the southern zone, 6 for its sub-zone, 0 for the Bengaluru sorting district, 038 for one specific delivery office. Multiply that structure across the country and you can see why India Post can route a letter across a subcontinent on six digits alone. Our pools follow the official zone map: Maharashtra opens with 4, Karnataka with 5, Delhi with 1, Tamil Nadu with 6. The format passes validation; the records are synthetic.

Use cases for test addresses
Form and QA testing — fill Indian checkout flows with state-valid, 6-digit-PIN profiles that pass field validation.
Localization reference — compare the comma-joined house-and-street line and the spelled-out state against Western forms before wiring address fields.
Teaching and demos — show how zone, sub-zone, sorting district and post office stack inside six digits.
What these samples are — and aren't
Built for: software testing, format reference, localization QA, placeholder data.
Not for: real correspondence, identity verification, or registering for services against their terms — including account signups that demand an address you don't live at. Generated profiles are synthetic; a correct PIN pattern is not proof the address exists. For actual mail, confirm with the recipient or India Post's own tools.
How the samples are built: states, PIN-zone digits and line order follow the documented structure of the Indian PIN system. Data pools last reviewed September 2026.
